On behalf of myself and my colleague Kirsty (and indeed the rest of the Social Committee!), we just wanted to thank you for providing some great music at our Summer Ball at The Dorchester.  The music fitted really well during the Champagne reception as well as in the Ballroom and it was enjoyed by everyone.  Like you said on the night, it was a good job that we had 2 keyboards (as you recommended) set up in the different rooms!

The booking process was professional and easy to do.  Robin answered all our queries and was very helpful and friendly.

We recommend Robin Phillips and we will definitely keep him in mind should we need a musician(s) for future events.

Considerable flexibility was shown around format, cost and allowing for a disco at the end which again was appreciated

[You were] very friendly in the build up to the event and on the night, which made for a very easy process and made everyone really enjoy having the band around – there were a lot of comments about how nice the band was!

Pinstripe Suit | Wedding Reception, London | June 10

After listening to and contacting a number of bands I finally came across Pinstripe Suit. On listening I knew they were the band for our wedding.

I received a call from Robin within hours of leaving an e-mail request. That’s what I call service. On speaking to him I knew we would be able to work together. His style is such that you feel in safe hands. He took time to listen to our needs as opposed to many other bands who were not prepared to do anything other than their standard play list. He even agreed to play a favourite song of ours that wasn’t within the band’s usual repertoire.

Robin kept in regular contact and made every effort to ensure that everything would be as we wanted it to be. Robin has an engaging, professional and inclusive style which made it easy to work with him and made us feel confident that we had made the right choice.

On the day of our wedding our guests couldn’t stop saying how fantastic the band was and that if they were having a party they would love to have them there. Of course the real test of how good the band was, is that our guests danced all night (even those that said they couldn’t or didn’t know how to).

Pinstripe suit created the upbeat party atmosphere that we wanted and it was great that they had a broad repertoire – from swing to more modern. Over all Pinstripe Suit delivered exactly what they said they would, which was great music with a fun approach.

I have no hesitation in recommending Pinstripe Suit for a wedding or any other event where you need a fantastic and thoroughly professional band.

Solo Performance | QC Appointment, London | April 10

First of all, Robin was extremely efficient in dealing with the initial enquiry and after the booking had been confirmed, he responded promptly to all email correspondence which made the organisation of the event so much simpler.

On the night, Robin was prompt, attired suitably and impeccably, and polite.  His solo playing was perfect for the occasion – a wide repertoire and at the right volume and style, and his singing later in the event sounded superb.  There were many positive comments about his performance and I would recommend him for any similar event.

Pinstripe Suit performed one unplugged set with a trio and then a full-on set with all six musicians.

Their repertoire was very varied to suit the differing moods of our event and they all looked very professional and glamorous. 

I would not hesitate to recommend them for any occasion. Their full set has as big a sound as a 12-piece and we all loved their performance. There’s nothing as good as live music!

A Real Class Act.

They arrived with plenty of time to set up and were very flexible on their location and the timing of their performance.

We were all very impressed by their considerable musical and vocal talents and their performance displayed the chemistry that can only exist between gifted individuals who genuinely love working together.

Their professionalism also extended to making sure that the volume was perfectly in tune with the event.

Robin Phillips Duo | Product Launch | June 08

…The launch was pitched to an invited audience. We needed a relaxed atmosphere, a classy scene, and complimentary music to fit the occasion. As guests needed to mingle and talk the music had to be engaging but not overpowering.

We had positive comments from guests throughout the evening and felt that Robin and [Vilem] got the balance just right.
